LegendaryConfused racing broadcaster Mike Cattermole has today launched his very own tipping service, in time for the “greatest show in turf”, the Cheltenham Festival.

Since 1984 Mike Cattermole has plied his trade at the very top of the Horse Racing game, garnering respect, contacts and a giant store of knowledge along the way, and now he is giving you the chance to by-pass the 20-odd years of grind and tap into the vast reserves of information he has accrued. Mike first got hooked on the sport in the 70’s whilst watching Red Rum romp to victory in the Grand National, and he is now one of the most recognisable and knowledgeable faces in the world of the nags.

Many of you will recognise Mike from his time with the BAFTA-winning Channel 4 race team, where he played a key role in the success of one of the best programs ever to cover the sport, and as lead presenter since 2010 he has become synonymous with flat racing on Channel 4. His time in racing has included many different positions, not least managing the legendary Willy Carson from 1988 onwards.

Away from the track Cattermole is known to be a die-hard Sheffield Wednesday fan, but his lifelong affiliation with the Owls should not be seen as a judgement on his ability to pick a winner. He is a winner himself, having been awarded the coveted Broadcaster of the Year by the Horceracewriters and Photographers Association in 2006, an award some felt was too long in coming his way, and this latest venture is just another example of his commitment to helping race fans enjoy the sport of kings

facking hard to make profits simply tipping without trades

how is a bloke as busy as this going to have the time to dedicate to winner finding?

Oh that's right, he isn't. He is just gonna put up whatever crap he hears about off his crony mates

Will the service make a loss on advised bets? 1.01

They are probably getting a cut from the calls, which is even more disgusting.

Report millhouse March 13, 2012 11:20 AM GMT
TRD - I would bet that the driving force behind most of the tipping lines that advertise is the publication, not the advertiser.

This is almost certainly why they now give tipping columns to the telephone tipsters doing the 'advertising' (I also seem to remember Steve Mellish complaining that he had to have a tipping line if he was going to keep his column in the RFO)...

TRD Racing will be on in a minute defending the tipping industry telling everyone how the tipsters are not bad people and give out a helpful public service similar to a plumber or a binman.
