Frankels guineas form takes yet another pounding with dubawi gold

It maybe wasn't a great Guineas but it's how he won it and what he did after that matters and the quality of horses he has beaten and what they had done before and after he beat everything he raced against last season.

Not sure if this is supposed to be a knock Frankel thread but a bit pointless if it is.

on this basis I take it the OP will be laying the winner of the said worst guineas ever every time he runs won't you?

He made the horses that tried to go with him look deformed. Sometimes literal form isn't everything.

I guess Sea The Stars Guineas was rubbish given that Delegator has lost a lot more races than he`s won since that day.

Frankel's Guineas was most definitely a sub standard renewal of the classic however, it is now insignificant given what this incredible colt has achieved since.
After all....what more was he supposed to do except crucify his opponents in the way he did, in thirty five years of watching racing, it was one of the most remarkable performances I have ever witnessed.

Every Guineas is the worst ever. Aparently in six years time it will be a 0-60 CLass 6 handicap!

My favourite race of the year, nothing like it, what has trained on etc, most entertaining minute and a bit of the year, a season shaper/ stallion maker, love it

feltfair, sea the stars guineas was rubbish  ,imo the whole of that season was rubbish, the worst lot of horses ever imo, sea the stars only had to be half decent to beat those trees. rip van winkle, fame and glory twice over 10 furlongs, christ that was a gold cup winner,

Off topic from the main thread subject but Rip van Winkle and Fame and Glory were hardly trees and RvW was probably one of the better horses in the last decade but had the misfortune to be the same age as Sea the Stars. At one stage he even looked like beating STS in the Eclipse until Kinane hit RvW over the head with his whip. As for Fame and Glory the horse might well have won a Gold Cup but that was a a 5YO and just showed his class and versatility of distance having won an Irish Derby and having been a good 2nd only 2L or so in the Irish Champion at 10f and 4L or so in the Arc at 3YO.

Westerner also won a Gold Cup but still only finished 2L 2nd in the Arc.

The Sussex Stakes was also sub-standard this year . And Canford Cliffs also got lucky when he nailed Goldikova.

As i remember it Frankel ran in his own race that day.The others raced each other,not him.
