not stephen craine's finest moment was close enough but slow to respond surely he knows the horse takes time to wind up yet he did not get after the horse till it was too late

This happens TRD, you just want the hold up jockey to be alert to it and get a bit closer to the pace. Fanning's let me down on that score, and maybe wouldn't have met the trouble that did if he'd been in better position at the business end. Armchair jockey alert!
