Don't give the egomaniac any ideas, Cry  Swardean.

Swardean, they all run under the Gigginstown banner cos he doesnt want to ram it down people's throats that it's Ryanair profits that are paying for this vast string of horses....customers might not take too kindly to that

Cross this man at your peril, I am told-----prickly customer indeed Scared

Publicly stated that it's all about the Gold Cup but does normally get excited by smaller races and he  puts a hell of a lot of money into the game in Ireland.
Report onlooker March 5, 2012 2:42 PM GMT
True, punchestown -

If he, and J P McManus did not own any horses - then the money that they saved could re-float Ireland from it's economic abyss.

A born contrarian, but when he said he won a festival race with the worst horse he had (or words to that effect), that level of arrogance was out of order. Plenty of participants spend their entire careers trying to get a winner there, and don't manage it.

Wasn't it Champagne Classic winning the Martin Pipe Conditional hurdle that was the worst horse in training.....

and this worst horse in training went on to beat a future Gold Cup winner,a stayers hurdle winner and RSA Chase winner at Punchestown a few weeks later.
