Good evening, HappyHibby

By:
Have you been at the bottle, HappyHibby?
By:
The Pre view nights have become an industry within an industry!
By:
good evening the romford slim.
i have had 3 G&T's so far but if i hear any more about CHELTENHAM PREVIEW NIGHTS i'm going to have the whole bottle tbh... year in year out we get this complete and utter garbage thrown at us. people who go to these events and line the pockets of the 'panel' really need to get a grip of themselves. i fear they are beyond help tbh... |
By:
Cheltenham has become worse than Christmas. As soon as October arrives we hear nothing but The Festival,The Festival,The Festival for the next 5 months and then reviews of The Festival for at least two months after.
Total boredom! |
By:
i'd end up jumping off the forth bridge if i watched that utter tosh on youtube tbh watchit...
By:
stewarts...you could make a yearly wage by doing these preview nights i reckon...it's a DISGRACE.
By:
correct rog...i've said it many times on here...i HATE cheltenham.
By:
DON'T DO IT HIBB. IT'S NOT WORTH IT PAL.
By:
Do you have any backs, lays or failing that any arbs for the Cheltenham Festival, HappyHibby?
By:

I was visiting friends in Ireland, a few years ago -
They took me to a Preview Night at the Submarine Bar in Dublin. Everybody there was bladdered - and nobody could remember 'who had tipped what, in what' - come the end of the night. ![]() |
By:
davy russell says first lieutenant has no chance in rsa then in another few days later him and oleary giginstown fany it that and going wrong of murphys they change there nap every different preview

By:
i still keep an eye on it tho watchit tbh...
but as someone said earlier...it starts off in OCTOBER...'what about cheltenham...what about cheltenham'.... every bl00dy year.... i couldn't give a t0ss about cheltenham...!!!!!!! |
By:
i am playing on the football on saturday the romford slim...
By:
I'll go even further than you Happy. In my opinion, jumps 'racing' is the root cause of much of what is wrong with British racing right now.
By:
explain what you mean by that please rog...?
By:
i'm SICK of hearing about cheltenham and their preview bl00dy nights watchit...
absolutely SICK of it... |

By:
seriously watchit...who on earth wants to pay £ to find out what george primorolo (worked as PR for several bookmakers as far as i recall) thinks will happen at cheltenham.
and whilst i'm at it why should anyone think a bookies PR would help or want to help the public take money off them anyway...? |
By:
i've heard them mention simon clare on preview nights panels as well...
does anyone SERIOUSLY think these guys want to help the betting public win money off their employers...? it simply doesn't make sense to me tbh... |
By:
why ANYONE would blindly follow what someone else 'advises' them is totally beyond me watchit.
simply cannot understand that mindset tbh... |
By:
that can be the ONLY answer watchit.
they go to their work the following day and tell their mates how they 'met' mick fitzgerald (fitzy) and nick luck (lucky) and he told me this that and other.... these people need a reality check imv... i don't blame the pundits for taking the easy £ tbh... it's like taking candy from a baby in truth. it's the numpties who give them the £ who are the fools in all this nonsense... |
By:
I taught these cheltenham nights are for charity?
they definately give the impression when advertising them that the money goes to a good cause. |
By:
The fact is Hibby that the Irish jockeys (other than Ruby and BJG who ride regularly in England) would not have a clue about English form and for the most part it is the same at English previews when discussing Ireland.
They never discuss handicaps or limit the discussion as nobody on the panel has done their homework and trainers want to keep their plots to themselves. I went to the Submarine Bar years ago and Jessie was there telling is that Spirit Leader was flying and bang on course for Cheltenham. I had been at the gallop with the Macs Jot syndicate the previous day and Spirit worked dreadful and was tailed off. I will actually pop into one next Thursday as it is free in and it is my only opportunity to meet some racing lads I know in a city centre location for a few drinks as they generally work weekend when I am out having a pint. It is free in however as there is no way I would pay to listen to the rubbish that is spouted. |
By:
you've it the nail there watchit...
are you saying nobody who does a cheltenham preview night gets £ for THEMSELVES Rob1...? |

--------------------------------------------- what's that all about DV...? don't like the sound of that at all tbh... |
By:
one the thing about all these preview nights is...even if i went to one i wouldn't believe a word anyone said in the first place.
maybe it's the CYNIC in me or something...? |
By:
I quite enjoy hearing other peoples views on racing
![]() |
By:
Exactly as I said Hibby.
I saw the gallop and the mare worked poorly yet received an upbeat report at the preview. |
By:
I have'nt a clue Hibby never taught about because every time I see one advertised they always say
in aid of something or other. So these celebs are taking a feee out of money thats meant for charity and whats left over goes for charity. ![]() Heres a list of the Irish ones nearly they all say its for charity. http://www.sportsnewsireland.com/racing_irish/75962/ |
