Was told this morning by a JOKE'oral manager this is the new policy
So if horse is 20/1 you can have £5 on, 10/1 a Tenner on etc

Depends what you mean by SP bets... Place SP bets on the Exchange (ie hit the 'SP' buttons between the back and lay prices on the Exchange view, or click on 'Take SP' when editing an unmatched bet) - then it's a normal Exchange bet just with a different price-setting model and you can win as much as you like. Place a bet at BSP (which can include singles) through the Multiples page and you're betting against Betfair as a bookie and there's a GBP 1 million per day max payout. |

About 8 years ago Coral had a go at laying after eleven o clock every punter any horse to loose a monkey,it lasted only a couple of months. They also on the screens used to say best price on the high street our football prices sad to say that has long gone, the weekend coupon will be out in the morning sad to say i will see more cuts than Henry Coopers cornerman. hope you are well Ronnie. |

I have a good idea for those who can't get bets on. Set up as a bookmaker yourself or with fellow punters and see how much you are willing to lay. I have been a punter for 60 years but I still have respect for bookmakers who are taking a risk every day with their money just as punters are. I have used the big rails firms on course but always tried to bet with smaller operators off course until the exchanges came along. A one man band soon gets to know what you might know and used to ask me about yards I was associated with.

The word "bookmaker" just needs to be redefined. I have full respect for real bookmakers but if you bet on the high street or on-line, the reality is that there are none left. Gaming (risk free) has killed gambling.
