Here's the first Horse Racing forum competition, designed to give you the chance to win small cash prizes for doing nothing much more than answering a couple of questions correctly!
We've recently started these in some of the other forums - this time, it's Racing's turn, as we celebrate the high-quality Betfair-sponsored 'Free Friday' card at Newbury.
All you have to do to enter is reply to this thread with your answers to both of the following:
Which horse will win the 1.15 at Newbury on Friday February 17th? (Please enter the name of your horse, not the racecard number)
Tiebreaker - What will be the biggest winning Betfair SP of the day at Newbury on Friday February 17th? (Please enter your suggestion as a decimal. Betfair SP as declared in the results section on horseracing.betfair.com)
If you select a horse for the 1.15 which is later delcared a non-runner or withdrawn: bad luck!
If there is a dead-heat for first in any race and one of the horses has the largest winning Betfair SP of the day, that SP would be declared the biggest.
The winner will be the customer who gets both questions right. If no-one gets both right, the winner will be the customer who gets the first question right and is closest to the tie-breaker answer. If there is a tie, the prize will be split.
Only one entry per person permitted - if you do submit multiple entries, only your first entry will be considered.
This thread will be locked at 12pm on Friday February 17, so all entries have to be submitted before then. The winner will be contacted via a Private Message (on the new forum) before the end of Monday February 20, and will be required to reply to confirm their name, e-mail address and their Betfair account details. The prize will then be paid directly into the winner's Betfair account. Prizes cannot be collected or paid by any other method than a credit into the winner's account. If the winner does not respond to the PM within 24 hours, the prize will pass to the next nearest entrant. We will endeavour to credit the winner's account within 3 working days of receiving confirmation of their details.
