The card, featuring the William Hill Welsh Champion Hurdle, is the feature jumps meeting for the track, and there is the possiblity the meeting could be staged on Sunday.

Long was unable to confirm that whether it would happen as the logistics are yet to be sorted out, but BHA spokesman John Maxse tweeted on Saturday morning: "BHA can confirm that possibility of staging Ffos Las's Saturday card on Sunday remains should today be abandoned."

If Ffos Las was in Ireland it would be rescheduled for Wednesday when the forecast suggests it could be raceable. Shame to lose all these good weekend cards because they are not allowed to compete with some poor cards mid week.

Staffing problems my arris - If the BHA wanted it on there would have been loads of volunteers etc drafted in - If it was Cheltenham it would have been re-arranged and on - No interest in re-arranging - Insurance pays out to cover everyone but the racegoers who forked out for Travel and Hotels from the North East in advance 2 x tickets for £20 - Talking through my pocket again - Will now be forced to watch the Rugby and get trollied  weekend ruined £240 up in smoke!!
