Replies: 16685 03 Feb 12 10:59 Happy 27th Birthday Matt and may you have as successful 2012 especially at your commentating. You're a sound man. Sound man is right, when he's in the ATR booth all you hear all day is a cacophony of sound, the sound of his own voice. Still I wouldn't deny a man having a happy birthday, so happy birthday Tango! |

Matt Chapman, 34, was born in Guildford and joins At The Races having spent eight years as a journalist on the Racing Post and four years with the Racing Channel. He became fascinated by foreign racing after two and a half years at the International Racing Bureau, in Newmarket, and has also been PR director for the Tote and agent to top Flat rider Darryll Holland.

yet more info from ATR website
First TV appearance I was a Quirister (not to be confused with Chorister) at Winchester College and appeared on Songs of Praise once in the 80s! AD - that's blown your adamant - 'he's 27 ' |
|
By:
AD - I'm more inclined to go along with Facts even though I think he's still being generous to Matt with an age of 34.
I've heard him speak on many occasions about the Cecil horses in the 80's, as if he made a packet on the debutants, and for me, that means he has to be pushing 40 at least! As for 27...that's probably just what he tells all the pu$$y ![]() ![]() |
|
By:
I honestly thought he was about 42/43.
