Took £50 on Smokey George at 7/2 GP thinking it was a good thing. Saw the big drift and decided to lay off for a small loss.
Totally forgot I had GP and could've put in a lay at much higher which would've got matched.
So instead of making likely a small profit I/R, I took the full loss. Gutted.

That's too bad mate.
 The way I always look at a loss as a lesson, when you lose something you know it and you treat it as a lesson and learn something positive from it that will help you make it back. |

Yeah I've learned a few new ones today! Managed to break even but if things had gone to plan (which they would have bar my mistakes), I'd be up about £180.

I done the same thing
 I traded out of winning bets a few times, but that doesn't teach you the lesson. The loss teaches you the lesson.  |

The issue today was I bet too early and didn't wait to see the show, which is one of my 'rules'.
Saw a price crash in the morning and thought 'Gotta get on', lo and behold 7/2 out to 15/2 Then because my SPs didn't update properly I traded out of the would be favourite thinking it was joint fav (which makes a difference in my rules). Which was Bohemian Rock, which won well. What a day |
