How many is SDS behind Hanagan and how many days does he miss?
Apologies if this is mentioned elsewhere

SDS 4 day ban
Report APtheCHAMPION • October 26, 2011 10:46 AM BST
I thought he just served his four day ban and the only day he has left is next Monday.

SDS needs a couple of three/four timers..
Report BJG • October 26, 2011 10:49 AM BST
The rider, who will now sit out meetings on October 19, 20, 21 and 24, said: "It seems a bit harsh really.

Yup apologies

He is not riding Monday or Tuesday next week as he is riding in the Melbourne Cup ... he was banned Monday anyway and there are only Redcar at Kempton meetings on Tuesday so he probably only misses about 6 rides.

Needs to halve the gap to 4 in next couple of days ideally Cool

Cheers guys I think the only thing he has upcoming is the Australia visit to ride Fox Hunt for Johnston
Report Willow1966 • October 26, 2011 10:54 AM BST
yes ... come on SDS !! Take the 33-1 !!
Report kotk • October 26, 2011 11:04 AM BST
De Sousa has a lot of rides today and goes from Notts to Kemp.
I think he could close the gap by the weekend to 3, if hanagan gets a winner or two today it may be over but come on SDS

Johnston's horses are flying at the moment, he could do without this Australia trip though - is he confirmed to be going?
Report kotk • October 26, 2011 11:45 AM BST
So I read the other day, dont actually know if it has changed, his thinking behind going was the fact he'd only in effect miss one day with the ban and the sunday (no flat racing) taken into account
Report blackpood • October 26, 2011 12:55 PM BST
Does the fact the SDS is going to Oz to ride Foxhunt reflect the horses chances in the race. Because one thing is certain, SDS will be knacked for a day or two on return.

Interesting start to the day, didnt think he'd win on that
Report APtheCHAMPION • October 26, 2011 2:08 PM BST
Still an uphill battle!
Report OVERSEAS • October 26, 2011 2:15 PM BST
Still got some decent rides today and a nice book of rides tomorrow...does need to get the lead down to 4 or less by aussie trip to stand any chance.....still very much uphill but not without hope presuming Hanagan drys up completely...
