for his stance about riding in england; apparently willie mullins has indeed stepped in and had his say. take it from me WM is much more important to RW and that, forumites, is the real reason. nicholls is very much secondary geraghty isn't taking any stance but all other irish jockeys such as russell want assurances that BHA is prepared to make considerable concession which is unlikely.
If the current rules remain you wont enjoy NH very much - most of todays Chepstow races looked very uncompetitive. It wont matter which jockeys are riding - they might as well get rid of the jockeys altogether and just shoo them all off at the far end of the track and you will still have a winner especially if the stables are strategically placed relative to the winning post. Sure if the poor animals feel hungry they could stop and have a nibble on a bit of grass as well. What makes the Cheltenham Festival is that you have the very best horses going all out in a very competitive manner - no quarter asked or given.

yes i will, still plenty of jockeys around whether the current rules still apply or not.By March those that are not throwing their toys out the pram, and have carried on abiding by the rules of their sport will have got used to them and will be at Cheltenham riding the best horses at the best meeting. Quiet sure Ruby will be there as well,he wont miss Cheltenham by choice.

'budd'... obviously ruby wont miss chelters, that's what NH racing is all about, the climax of our season but a lot of water will run under the bridge before then. it's not looking good, that's for certain, even though time is a great healer. as for barry he's got his own agenda and realistically the henderson job equates to anything he could get in ireland. he knows he'll have to conform but he's a marvellous jockey, a complete natural, who can count BTW. FWIW james stier will be shown the door and I'd bet on it.

geraghty has already posed a doubt over whether he will come this weekend, if he comes and gets a ban he'll be totally with walsh, he's already backed walsh in the press to that effect

elise...with the greatest respect 'if he comes and gets a ban' is somewhat churlish, he's an experienced professional being paid a huge sum, in tandem with mccoy for the NH job, and has to come unless he's prepared to prejudice his main job. all the best I've had my cocoa and now it's time for bed and dreams of great finishes involving richard hills and dean 'fresh air' mckeown! that's a thought how would they nail deano in one of those epic finishes?
