By Lewis Porteous racingpost.com THERE was good news on the recovery of two of racing's most popular personalities on Tuesday after trainer Henrietta Knight posted a positive update on the wellbeing of her husband Terry Biddlecombe and Grand National-winning trainer Josh Gifford.
Biddlecombe, who suffered a stroke earlier this month, fell ill at the same time as his old adversary in the saddle and friend Josh Gifford, who was admitted to hospital suffering from septicemia on October 8. The pair won seven jump jockeys' titles between them in the 1960s.
Revealing the welcome news on her website, Knight said: "Terry is progressing and taking short walks. He has lost a lot of weight and looks very weak but his mind is still sharp and he's watching all the racing on the TV channels and is busy telling me what to do!
"He is delighted to hear that his very best friendJosh Gifford is making significant progress and is able to talk and eat again though he too is very weak. Terry and Josh were such great warriors and such special friends. I'm so looking forward to them having a reunion once Josh comes out of hospital. It's a privilege to know the pair of them! Two special people."
