Expensive mistake.

I hardly ever bet in-running but needed to lay a few quid on the favourite to keep my book balanced. Offered £198 @ 1.63, then tried to adjust the price to 2.1, hitting 21 instead.

Shocked

Well done to those nimble-fingered enough to benefit. It's my whole month's profit gone in half a second, but I guess you just have to take these things on the chin.

Yes, it's easily done. Surprised I've never made the mistake before really. Still painful to lose £3k in one stroke though.

Laid one at Dundalk few weeks ago...checked colours and also number cloth (2) before laying after couple of furlongs...beaten 2f out and finished last but of course that wasnt the one i laid was it...one in practically identical colours and no 12 (the number 1 was obscured) comes thru and wins....cost me £800, which is plenty for me....wouldnt mind but the one that won it was an 8/1 shot, so it shouldnt really have been winning but first rule of laying: if it can go wrong, it will go wrong....the only time i've got colours wrong all year too, as far as i can remember Cry

Feel yr pain, Doc

You could protect your bank by placing a large amount on a lay in an ante-post market at a low price.

well Dr J, its simple on gruss, should be there on betfair rapid (ask the helpdesk) and the normal interface, but i cant believe anyone has the patience for using that, otherwise limit your funds available

I had £300 on one of Nicholls in the first at Chepstow on Saturday, placed bet with an online book, hit place bet, hit confirm, then watched race.  Won after a close race, went to computer to see the screen, the price on your selection has changed from 11/10 to 6/5 to you want to accept new odds?

I felt sick...
