Will robots ever replace Jockey's.

Has been tried (in America I think) but the robots were remotely operated by humans (who were able to see through the robots eyes) so you'd still have all the usual shenanigans in this country.

Agreed, only functional body parts should be included.

No need for a head.

The way some of them ride i thought they
were robots

Don't need jockey's, horses run to the line without them. Should treat them as big grey hounds

Yep. Electric carrot on a stick.

WALOFS

There must be a place for technology though, the current whip debate could be rectified with the advent of a battery operated whip that administered an electric shock when used more than the allowed quota.

An electric shock to the Jockey of course, although

Which jockeys riding style should be used for the prototype though?

Steve Cauthen.
Fred Archer.
R Hills.

Just a few suggestions.

Unfortunately horses are flight animals so they can't be trained to chase after an electric hare, so we may make do with those overrated jockeys who like to take all the credit for winning a race, although it was the horse who was doing all the running.

Would they chase a mare in season ?

Would have to be a bloody fast mare!

Could lead to some unsavory scenes.

Could be a new career for Goldikova,Black Caviar etc.
