ran very well in defeat, well beaten by winner but ran on very promisingly
|
|
By:
cracking debut...he ll be good for sure
|
|

did you back it mirisoo ?

I backed it, very poor run. If the horse was trained by anyone else or had a less illustrious family then you would all be in agreement. The winner looked good the rest all fell in a heap.

the comment rancid suggests the poster knows very little re horse racing.
Very promising debut Many champions got beat 1st time up Sea The Stars? |

Ridiculous remarks from mirisoo.
Horse ran very well under tender handling. Looks quite a smart middle distance prospect and will take plenty of beating in the Museum maiden next April. |
|
By:
Sea the Stars wasn't beaten by 5 lengths, he won't be challenging for honours next year.

people obv knew it wudnt be beaten up..imo
|

By:
Why would you beat up an immature (Sir Henrys words) 2yr old first time out?
He ran a really promising race and stayed on well to the line. Considering he said this morning on SSN the horse will need further in time it was a fine introduction |

Sorry old bean but you're talking grade A ![]() ![]() s!!Forget the name, forget the trainer, forget the breeding and watch the race again... On heavy ground, drawn away from the pace and winner, a green horse, first time out, has picked up well and run all the way to the line without being knocked about - it clearly needs further, clearly has an engine, clearly has talent... The winner, btw, is out of the sire Monsun, sire of many that like it a bog, some classy 125+ types like Monduro (grp 1 winner of £1 million) and Scirocco (grp 1 winner of £1.4million) and the winner's dam is a Nashwan Mare... On that showing I expect the winner to be a v decent 8-10f horse and the runner-up to prove to be a 10-12f animal who will be a lot better once fully primed on better ground |

Handicapper imho. I'd be surprised if he wins a stakes race
|
|
By:
got an ultra tender ride which the market fully expected...fwiw I wasnt impressed by the race outside of the winner and imo will do well to win outside of maiden company next year...
|

i honestly dont know how u can get 'wont win outside of maiden company/stakes race' out of how the race transpired!!
nobody knows how good any of the horses are at this stage, it was a maiden race! the winner might never win another race and noble mission might go on to win the derby or arc, nobody knows!! what i do know is that it is IMPOSSIBLE at this stage to know how good noble mission is! he made up plenty of ground in the final furlong and ran what i would call a very encouraging race!! i would be surprised if he didnt go on from this and win his fair share of races, at what level god only knows! tar! |

ilwab, At last someone talking sense. Some of the posts regarding Noble Mission have been nonsensicle almost laughable
|
|
By:
if you run a race like that it should not be reflected in the the betting.

On reflection, have to agree with buses' comments.......a gut call on my part having seen the horses in the paddock, just not taken with the race/participants....obviously next spring on better ground will see the horses in a different light...

Whilst it remains theoretically possible for Noble Mission to win the Derby, it is extremely unlikely for a Yarmouth debutant to go on to do so, especially as he didn't even win. There were maiden races at Newbury and Doncaster last weekend, and more at Newmarket this weekend. If he was any good that's where he'd be starting his career - at a grade 1 track, like all of the last 20 or so English Derby winners.

Interesting that many people feel the horse will need to race over longer trips in time which I agree with but at the same time many people believe Frankel won't stay 10 or 12 furlong, which I don't agree with.
OK I know they are two difference horses but you would think being full brothers there will be some similarities though. |
