Time to turn the PC off and put the keyboard away I think.
Jockeys win and lose close finishes all the time, otherwise there would be no need to photos but they win or lose them randomly and they aren't spread out evenly in a win one, lose one pattern. If he won 3 close ones would people be saying the other jockeys were finished?
Like I keep saying until even I get bored of it now.....any other jockey and it's not even an issue.......makes you wonder how he's managed to win 143 races this season and with a higher winning prize money total and higher percentage of winners for most of the season than both Hanagan and SDS, and even now is still higher than Hanagan and level with SDS despite both of their stables still running plenty and putting them on winners.

I'm not sure he whistles at that late a stage of the race and the intention of the whistling is to get his horse to start to make his initial move to quicken, which from the way Fallon rides them is usually about 3 furlongs out.

Maybe pedrobob I'm not really sure but I'm assuming the whistling is only one method he uses and not all of the others are getting everything else Fallon throws at them.
He's not trying to prove he doesn't need to use his whip to win races Outpost because he's never really been all that whip happy even before the new rule was introduced. He's usually one of the first to start pushing and the last to go for the whip and only does so after doing everything else to get the best from his horse. Other jockeys like Willie Carson and Richard Quinn had quite a bit of success too with both heads on the reins and pumping styles without always having to go to the whip as a first resort.
No I'm not Fallon's agent holywell but thanks for your words on the matter.
Fallon's not infallible but most of the criticism of him on here is usually unjustified and without much logic really. Take for example yesterday on Zaeem, he joined the leader 1f out and got into a bit of a ding dong battle that he eventually won by about a length but you often see 2 horses going at it head to head and then a third comes and does the pair of them on the line and that's what happened with the other Godolphin horse winning by a neck. True To Form wears cheekpieces which would suggest it's quirky and as well as the jockey getting a whip ban on the winner, his mount was also getting 5lbs too which in a win by a nose must have been significant. Then finally with Triggerlo he come with a well timed run which without the winner would have been a great ride but at 33/1 for the winner, it's fair to say not many expected that and again they were getting 11lbs for a ¾L difference and you would also have to say that was significant too.
