It seems to me that the whip rules covering ALL races are being altered because of problems in the ONE race that everyone watches.
So how about this; go back to the old rules for all races EXCEPT the Grand National which becomes a hands and heels race with any (non-safety related) whip use resulting in disqualification. Problem solved :)

I've thought about this a bit, and tbph you would be hard pushed to see any jock use the persuader in the GN till late on in the race..
Happy to be corrected though.. |
