quite often I follow a race simply by watching the prices (place market usually).
When your animal has placed the 'boxes' on the bet side all empty, and '1.01' may show. Nothing more. Well, wishformore appeared to have placed first and Empress Liezu never went below 1.3 (that was it's 'finishing price' as it were).
Anyway, I moved on, took my loss. Then some money appeared - it had placed . finished 3rd .
I'd have been GUTTED if I'd been on Wishformore - to all appearances from the market it HAD placed.
