I can see a strike next week. The way thses lads seem to feel there seems no alternative action.

Whether you are for or against is immaterial. It is now a total total mess. Jockeys leadership doesn't look particularly strong and BHA seem intransigent and more bothered about being nice to horsie brigade (not suggesting that is all wrong but the guy on the ML this morning didn't do it for me). This is going belly up and racing as we know it in this country is being ridiculed around the globe.

No idea .. anybody out there know? Thin ice this now and I don't think that there seems the wherewithal to get a solution. BHA seem adamant no more than a set number of smacks and horsie welfare lot seem to clearly have the upper hand and I suppose in many respects BHA as they are seem pretty powerless.

The BHA do not want to lose face.
They are going to find it hard to voluntarily back down.
If the jockeys strike they would be caving into "blackmail".
So they can't easily do that either.

Best way is the sack all of them and get a new sensible bunch in who can make all the necessary changes.

This should never have come to this. This shows there has been no proper consultation.

Its a pity Stier wouldn't put more time into stopping corruption considering he's an ex Hong Kong steward notorious for their no nonsense stance I was expecting big things from this guy on the corruption front, maybe he'll light a fire under the arses of the lethargic ones?, man was he a big let down.

Obviously the idea is to punish the triers. How many have been punished for not trying this week and no doubt there were many many non-triers. The end is nigh.

Reacting to the ban, an angry Walsh said: "If that deserves a five-day ban, this game is f****ed."

The BHA seem to have a thing about Australians.

The bloke th3ey brought in for the Fallon case pinpointed 18 races ...............................6 of which he won.

I rest my case.

It is a problem of BHA's making for not dealing with repeat offenders under the old rules . These are multiple offenders in 2010 ( First no col is offences, second days banned and third cautions)

How they didnt think that this wouldnt have happened is beyond me, the NH limit is unworkable, you can imagine the festival when around 14 of them run the turn in the Coral Cup near each other.

After seeing that poor horse at Wolvers I don't think I can or really want to stomach racing for too much longer. Let's face it it's not straight and I can think of better things to do with my time. I'm sure others can as well. That was fecking awful and made me feel sick.
