He may have some decent ammunition but personally I wouldn't trust him on anything.

think the result of the galway race may have been decided beforehand .....

I'm not saying he gets everything right, but the lack of competition gives him a head start in plenty races. (IMHO)

I will keep a beady eye on him in the next. (Westmeath) And a few punts on the beast.... (punts being  old fashioned money)

If I had a free rein as a steward there I would have asked him why he took the "wrong course" twice!!!!

CC I agree with you and I am surprised that the jockeys, who are all riding to instructions, get so much stick on here.
Report stewarty b • October 22, 2011 4:51 PM BST
As it happens, I quite like the Irish game, more so since the new rules in the UK. I noticed a 340/1 winner during the week. At least O'Brien's not at it, and a few more top traners there.
Report egner • October 22, 2011 4:51 PM BST
...then another thing that the BHA could bring in is written instruction from the trainers to the jockeys....

then everyone will know where they stand....

if jockeys are simply doing as they are told then it must be the trainers that are culpable when there are "strange" rides.
Report stewarty b • October 22, 2011 4:54 PM BST
egner, you have to remember the Irish don't ride under BHA rules..

Don't think I have ever heard a word of criticism on ATR.
