Report six gun • October 22, 2011 12:03 AM BST
I lay horses and I would say things are more unpredictable at the moment.
The form is based on the old rules.
It will take some time before we can see the form under the rules as they are.
Then we have to factor in if the jockey broke the rules.
Use of the whip especially early use of the whip is a sign the horse is struggling and need encouragement. This will make things even more difficult to assess and predict in the longer race and the heavy going. There will be horses that have form showing they won or did fairly well, under the new rules, especially in heavy going they might well be pulled up.

These rules do not help the punters whether they back or lay.

Imo six gun, take 8 or nine months out,if they carry on as they are the form book is worthless.Sad
