Lets see if I nail this.

I'm going for REKINDLED INTEREST eachway

Nicely drawn to draft in behind the pace and make his move about 800m out. Moonee Vallee specialist and sports first time blinkers to spark him up. trained to the minute with a fine work out on Tuesday when he smashed Jimmy Choux senseless.

Really hope I've haven't misread that track gallop. But I thought he looked in the shape of his life.

Jimmy Choux has been terrific and looking at his schedule it would seem he's been laid out for this. Spoken to a mate down there and he's told me they had showers all day and to expect it wet underfoot so that will certainly be a massive help to JC. Should get the race run to suit pacewise...just worry about his draw and the possibilty of him being shuffled back too far, trapped wide and having to concede too much ground round the final turn.

Helmet looks great if you're a fav backer. Ultra light weight with McEvoy cutting weight to 7 stone 11!!!....i just worry about a combination of factors...older horses 1st time, wide draw, stamina doubt and will have no shortage of challengers for the lead. But the positive is that he's got the class and he's got zero weight which might just pull him through.

One at a monsteriffic out the ball park voooosh row zz price I'll have pop at is Avienus at 100/1. She ran a terrific race last year in a much tougher renewal when 6th behind So You Think, Whobegotyou, Zipping and More Joyous. Thats far stronger and classier than this lot. Showed she was in the same sort of mood when running Descardo desperately close last time out at Caulfield

my picks:

1st Rekindled Interest - Gets run of the race and nails Helmet close home
2nd Helmet - Hounded and hassled for the lead, breaks free as McEvoy commits 500m out but succumbs to late pressure in the straight.
3rd Avienus - Runs past beaten horses for a gallant 3rd.
4th Jimmy Choux - Luckless run, nearest at finish.

good luck

elg

forgot to mention Glass Harmonioum for his fans....

Felt sooooooo sorry for him last time out. Ran his heart out from the front in the Turnbull but they had December Draw laid out big time for that race...punted him right off the boards and he nailed him on the line very cheekily....it was like one of those sick paul carberry / timmy murphy rides on December Draw with the way he came cruising at Glass H.
