I used to have modest success in these . With new whip rules I can't win any !!!. The bookie will start to see punters  deserting the maidens. Form used to mean most in these compared to handicaps , now you may as well stick a pin in .

You think form is more important in maidens than handicaps?

Yes Barton Bank . I most certainly do . The handicapper is trying to arrange for a ( theoretical ) dead heat so why would anyone bet on these . Madness . Again , Onlooker- a week is long  enough . My strike rate before the whip change was 23 wins in 32 maiden races . Since 10/10 20011 I've had  1  in twelve !!!.

There are lots of maidens where the stick is never used on some horses, particularly the first timers

now it is necessary to contextualise the subjectivisational obvious; delve and bring jockeyship and training into the motivation required, then bring in sectionals and you will realise I am right.

no m8 just quoting the great man but well spotted; heard him say this during champions day and thought it would need forumites to understand what he's actually talking about, I can't but he's harmless.
on a serious note maidens are best, or should be but our poster has highlighted the down-side, all inside a week. respect his views and stats becuz this is his speciality so he knows the subject. don't know whether he agrees but front-runners are being left alone and reckon jockeys will soon be on to this, on betting exchanges. a bad situation and so is 'croc' deliberately putting us away, why? answer, he's probably coming close to the end and don't forget he had to leave OZ in a hurry all those years ago. leopards never change their spots and so be advised, engage 'mute' when he's commentating.
in summary what are the best betting mediums now...sorry I'm thinking and can't think anything is better than laying with so much uncertainty surrounding our great 'sport of idiots!'
