The Stewards held an enquiry following a report from the Clerk of the Scales that Robert Winston, the rider of THEWINNINGMACHINE, placed fourth, had weighed in at 2lbs or more than the weight at which he weighed out. They interviewed the rider and the Clerk of the Scales. Having heard their evidence the Stewards found the rider in breach of Rule (B)67.4.3 and suspended him for 7 days as follows: Monday 31 October, Tuesday 1, Wednesday 2, Thursday 3, Friday 4, Saturday 5, and Wednesday 9 November, this being his third offence.
The Stewards held an enquiry into the use of the whip by Kieren Fox, the rider of PUSH ME (IRE) placed second, in the whole race. Having heard his evidence and viewed recordings of the race, they found him in breach of Schedule (B)6 Part 2 in that he used his whip with excessive frequency. As the offence warranted a suspension at the upper level, and taking into account that this was the rider’s second such offence within 12 months, the Stewards suspended Kieren Fox for 10 days as follows: Saturday 12 November, Monday 14th to Thursday 24th November inclusive.
Under Schedule (D)6 the rider shall not be entitled to a riding fee or a percentage of any prize money.

Having heard his evidence and viewed recordings of the race, they found him in breach of Schedule (B)6 Part 2 in that he had used his whip with excessive frequency. As the offence warranted a suspension at the upper level, the Stewards suspended Fanning for five days as follows: Monday 31 October and Tuesday 1 November to Friday 4 November inclusive. Under Schedule (D)6 the rider shall not be entitled to a riding fee or a percentage of any prize money.

As the offence warranted a suspension at the upper level, the Stewards suspended Nicholls for five days as follows: Wednesday 2 to Saturday 5 November and Wednesday 9 November 2011.
