Just out of interest, which of Star Witness's other defeats should I have concentrated on? Plus didn't some of you Aussies use Workforce's worst run in the Arc as same kind of benchmark to measure him against So You Think? The double standards and hypocrisy really are astounding.

And for the record though I didn't compare Star Witness to Frankel but pointed out that a horse like Dream Ahead that started the season running over a mile and won its last race at 7f was still good enough to drop back to 6f and beat Star Witness comfortably, despite Dream Ahead being beaten more than comfortably the times he faced Frankel.

It wasn't even me who brought up Black Caviar and Star Witness anyway but seeing as there is little form to link Black Caviar to Frankel and a couple of horses that do so are Star Witness and Dream Ahead, then it's worth pointing out how easily Dream Ahead has beaten Star Witness and then equally how easily Frankel tends to beat Dream Ahead.

The general consensus in the UK before WF and SYT ever faced each other is that WF is a better horse at 12f and they first raced at 10f. So no doubt you will predictably point out that SYT still beat WF in the Arc at 12f and claim that as some kind of hollow victory, despite 3 others finishing ahead of SYT and WF clearly not running his race......and it's not even as if anyone here has claimed WF as anything special anyway.

The jockey hit the winner 6 times which is allowed bar the fact that only 5 are allowed inside the final furlong and that rule only came in a few days ago and is likely to be amended soon now anyway.

Why don't you go and watch So You Think just hang on against Snow fairy at 10f in his last Irish race and count the 11 slaps the horses needed there. Or the 12 Moore gave So You think in the Prince of Wales or the 10 or so in the Eclipse and how many slaps does SYT get in the Melbourne Cup with your jockeys' rat-a-tat style of whip use where they don't even give the horse time to respond to it?

One thing I will give you though is that horses shouldn't keep the race when the jockey goes OTT with the whip like Dettori did on Rewilding but then arguably so did Ryan Moore by UK racing standards, even before the last laughable rule was brought in.......and for that matter, do you know for sure how many slaps and where Ryan Moore gave SYT yesterday because it looked borderline to me?

penzance ..he apparently had a few niggly injuries, i think they are going for the cox plate 10f if they can get him up to fitness having missed a run...depending on that run ( cox plate ) the melbourne cup still on the gender, i must admit the slow pace of his latest run didnt suit but he also didnt impress.

Green Moon is my cup tip :) his run was huge, never got in from the wide gate and was always 3 and 4 wide, on the turn looked the winner, just the light weight from Southern Speed gave her enough of an advantage

if he draws a good gate and gets a sit in a 2 mile race, he could be almighty hard to beat given his last 2 efforts

I do hate backing foreigners as I like to see Aussie horses when the richest race in Australia but nothing stands out to me, a foreigner will win it this year

Will watch the Geelong Cup on Wednesday to get an idea on how American is travelling..
