Just a few big outsiders at Ascot tomorrow and that's him done for the weekend.
Logically, SDS can't win because he has that four-day ban coming up. But I'd still rather back him at 16/1 than Fallon at 7/2. |

Is that a typo and you meant why he's not riding?
If so I'm guessing it's the maximum 9 meetings a week rule and because he's doubled up at some of the evening meetings in the week, then I'm assuming he hits his limit at Ascot. He's only 7 behind Paul Hanagan and tied with SDS so I don't think he's given up though. |

He hasn't ridden at 9 meetings this week. Presumably he could ride on Sunday if he wanted to.
We have to be realistic about the title. It's not that important to the top jockeys. Most of them would rather finish third in a Group race - or spend a day with their kids - than go through the card at Southwell. Of the three of them, SDS seems to be the only one really going flat out for the title. And even if he misses four days because of that ban, the fact that Fallon and Hanagan are voluntarily taking days off pretty much cancels that out. They are on exactly the same mark, and will probably have a similar number of rides from now to the end of the season, so I don't see why De Sousa should be four times the price of Fallon. |

Is it because he is flying to Canada to ride in Quest for Peace in the Canadian International? Hence why he can't be at bath.

In my view Mark Johnston is doing his utmost to provide DeSousa with the ammo to nick this,
will he succeed? who knows, but if he knocks in a winner or two at Bath tomorrow even though the 4 day ban will be an inconvenience unless during that ban Hanagan and Fallon kick home a few winners in it will be game on during the last 2 weeks of the season. |

i thought he was ban for 2 days

You're right, Welsh. He's riding in Canada.
And there will probably be more globetrotting before the season's out. |
