All the jockeys need to support hughesy, the rules at the minute are completely unworkable and seen as a lot of people within the sport have stated its a perseption issue and not a cruelty issue a lot of peoples arguments are flawed. The old rules were the right rules with the wrong implimentation, why are we changing our sport for the benefit of people who watch or attend the races once or twice a year and even then are more interested in getting sloshed than the sport on view. These animals are treated with great care and respect and recieve better medical care than most humans. People forget these animals are half the size of an elephant and are a completely different species to a normal horse. No one wants to see horses hurt or maked least of all the jockeys or the owners who love these amazing creatures. The people who say ban the whip because its wrong are the people whose kids are out there mugging people because its wrong to shout at them or hit them. This mess needs to be cleaned up before the BHA and racing for change completely alienate proper racing fans. They have already caused Harry Findlay to pull out of the uk game, no matter what you think of the man he put a lot of time, money and effort into the game and racing cannot survive without these big time owners. I am not a huge fan of the royal family but it would interested to hear whta the queen would have to say on this issue as a lot of people who have huge opinions have never ridden a horse or even being up close and personal nevermind tried race riding.

Anyway rant over but we need all jockeys both flat and national hunt to strike with full support of the trainers and owners to clean this mess up before the bha completely destory what is described as the sport of kings.
