yet on Available last night, who drifted like a barge, who was hit on it's debut by Dane O'Neill, you never picked up your stick on it, and were looking to your right to see where the 2nd and 3rd horses were.......

Seems clear to me. Happens all the time. Hopefully the new rules will mean more jockeys that continue to act in this way will be banned.

As someone who bets on 2yo racing this is a real bugbear for me. If you back a well-bred one first time out and it gets beaten by a more experienced rival that comes under more pressure you take it as part of the game, but when the money is down newcomers are frequently given much harder races.
