Wolverhampton tomorrow night. Fair play to baldy for keeping it away from the main tracks, now it'll be worthwhile watching the low grade stuff

I wouldn't be mr baldys biggest fan, but he should be congratulated for doing what the t8te should have done years ago.

And better still from Baldy. He's guaranteed a £250,000 Jackpot at Wolverhampton tomorrow evening. Now thats generous Happy
Report Tallywagger. • October 13, 2011 4:57 PM BST
he has certainly taken the bull by the horns. Fair play to him.

Now it's up to the BHA to sort out some prize money and make it a bit more competitive
Report never give up • October 13, 2011 5:04 PM BST
will he knock the winner ?
Report Anaglogs Daughter • October 13, 2011 5:07 PM BST
No..It's 'guaranteed'
Report never give up • October 13, 2011 5:08 PM BST
guaranteed to knock?
Report hong kong fooey • October 13, 2011 5:10 PM BST
Wish he would drop the minimum
50p stake back down to 10p
I think a lot more would
get involved
Report Tallywagger. • October 13, 2011 5:12 PM BST
no chance.
Report blunder • October 13, 2011 5:18 PM BST
Anaglogs ,I am not surprised he is guaranteeing £250 k ,after you knock the 29% takeout,it leaves a payout of £177,500,so he is only guaranteeing another 6k in the pot ,I am afraid thats pathetic.A 400 k guarantee would have been much more realistic.
Report Ramruma • October 13, 2011 5:19 PM BST
Hong Kong Fooey is right that more would get involved at 10p a line but unfortunately the powers that be are obsessed with rollovers, which are more likely with higher minimum stakes.
Report Anaglogs Daughter • October 13, 2011 5:25 PM BST
Charlie if he leaves it at £177,500, and takes his knockout what will it be then?
Report Feck N. Eejit • October 13, 2011 5:34 PM BST
He's only adding max(0, £72,500 MINUS whatever's put on) i.e. fk all.
Report asparagus • October 13, 2011 6:23 PM BST
Shouldn't be allowed to carry it forward to all weather floodlit racing imo. There is very little overall interest in it. It should be at the main meeting of the day or at the very least at one of the other afternoon meetings. The general public are not going to get involved and it's going to be left to the big players and syndicates. Not good for racing.
Report Aviboyd • October 13, 2011 6:26 PM BST
asparagus - understand your point but worth an experiment of trying it at an evening AW fixture imo - as you say there would be little interest in the meeting otherwise.
