of a major racing meeting, due to these silly stewards and the nonsense they are currently coming out with.
Because Lord or Colonel so and so , ride their hunting horses with a full leg and therefore can straighten them , they think a flat jockey cnn straighten a race horse with his feet and no use of the whip ...... the world is gone mad I tell ya [smiley:crazy]

I very much doubt if anyone who voted to introduce this new whip rule would have attended any hunt except as a saboteur maybe.

No wonder they're annoyed, they'll have to use riding skills instead of a whip.

You must believe they really are stupid - it isn't going to happen.

Well said Cooperman.
Stan Mellor once said if the horse won`t go for eight (cracks of the whip) it won`t go for eighty eight. Actually it may have been less that eight, but you have to take his point. Mind you HE knew how to ride a racehorse and get the best out of it.

S Mellor best jockey i have ever seen to wind a horse up and get everything out of it without touching it with the whip.
