I am trying to think of a crack chaser in ireland from about a year ago ish, it was a 2 miler and just shy of top grade level but had an amazing habit at falling at the last when cruising all over the opposition...the jockey used to bring it to the last and would try to let the horse guess the fence and it would crumble the other side...traded very short in running many times - but when it stood up it would win...think it won a couple of grade2s maybe even a grade one...grrrr its name is on tip of my tongue...however in its last race there was massive controversy as it was pulled up and reported to have run when "wrong"
