Currently the racing post are allowing customers Ie Thommo,Darren croft,Peter Naughton,Gary Wilthire cheap advertising for a share in the profits.is this a temporary thing and is the newspaper in trouble?.surely they didnt expect sales of the newspaper to go up given the fact they now have most things on line.

Temporary?

Haven't they always split the profits?

Does Nevo still have a tipping line? Haven't noticed any adverts recently.

FALLONS....

What happens is this - you can advertise with the RP only if you have proofed to them for a month and shown a profit in that month....(though god knows how Tommo by-passes this rule?????!).

They then offer you advertising opportunities BUT only using a service that they ten set up for you....it used to be with a Company called Eckoh - it has now changed (cant recall the name).

If you look at RP adverts all tipping lines are pretty much from one source Company - so if you are a tipster and have an exisiting phone/sms provision when you move to advertising in the RP you have to use their services and the cut is 3 ways...the company providing the service , the RP and the Tipsters roughly 33% each....

Obviously no conflict of interest there with proofing the voracity of tipsters' claims.Happy
