It might be an idea for some to watch the race again and you see that Fallon does nothing on the horse for a good part of it and his arms aren't even moving and the horse is travelling easily doing it itself. The other day someone was complaining about horses Fallon had ridden not breaking well from the stalls, so he's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't.......but then again all jockeys miss the break from time to time and all jockeys front run where their horse isn't good enough and doesn't last out but once again it only seems to get highlighted both times when it's Fallon.
On the other thread about it earlier today someone was saying he doesn't even hit the horse, which he did in the latter stages and someone else was saying the horse has never previously been ridden that way. Well however the horse has previously been ridden its only had 3 starts before today and the Racing Post comments for them were:
Raced centre, prominent, ridden over 2f out, weakened over 1f out, 4th of 13 in group
Chased leaders, ridden over 1f out, stayed on same pace, lost 2nd well inside final furlong
In touch, headway from 2f out, ran on to chase winner inside final furlong, kept on in closing stages but always held
So it does seem as if the horse races up with or close to the pace anyway.

I didn't think it was a bad ride,it's just not like KF to misjudge the pace by a furlong and a half.It could be that he let the horse go his own pace and didn't get home in the conditions, instead of trying to hold him back which may of made him keen.

im not saying the horse couldve won and it was an odd ride but i have no doubt the horse wouldve finished closer had he not allowed him to go off in front like that!! if u allowed every horse to go the pace it WANTS to go then its going to expell most of its energy trying to go fast insead of trying to harness its energy and spread it evenly over the entire race!!
thats how i saw it anyway!! i guess we'll see what the horse goes on to do in the future and we can look back on this race retrospectively!
