Hills there, you can actually see him counting..

Agree Analogs. There's been some collusion somewhere along the line.

I'd nearly swear Hughes was smiling when he was going by the post. I bet he was thinking crossing the line "Yeah go on pull me in for not trying, I'm ready for ye"

I do believe or get the feeling Richard Hughes isn't going to whip a horse today

agreed, the cheating will get alot worse now

Did ya see his last 3 rides. One nudge no response and give up without hitting them once. . He's not going to get a ban anyhow

Great point, any odds on how soon rules are changed ?

Finishing strung out at Leicester -
and the ground isn't at all bad. First 3 races all just over 2 secs slow - against Racing Post standard. |
|
By:
He wouldn't have beat the winner but he wasn't too bothered if he finished a furlong behind the placed horses. I backed it e.w and i knew as soon as i seen the nudge 3 furlongs out i said to myself "That's his effort for that race, he'll sit up now" and that's exactly what he done.

Good spot Analogs.
Sadly the BHA don't have the nads to backtrack. |
|
By:
It looks weird watching them now are they going slower
just incase they don't lose count. |
|
By:
Apologist - they won't backtrack imo. But unwittingly, the antics of certain jockeys will accelerate the progression to an outright whip ban.
|
|
By:
I think it`s a bit much asking them to count and not get boxed in at the same time. You`ll need a degree to be a jockey the way things are going.
|
|
By:
Why don't they all give an extra tap - not suggesting they hurt the animals - and all get banned and that's the fkn end of that?

That's the way I see it as well Gerry. In fact more than a few might be coming round to our way of thinking.

good job Harvey not rideing

SDS just proved it there. Not worth getting a ban for a couple of grand race..He could have giving it 3 or 4 smacks and he would still have been inside the limit. Oh dear the BHA have made a whip for their own back

Doesn't augur well for those that use/compile speed figures does it?

RICHARD HUGHES has given up his riding licence in protest at the new whip regulations after receiving a second five-day riding ban in the space of four days.
The top jockey said he would relinquish his licence until the new rules, introduced on Monday, were reviewed and gave up his two remaining rides at Kempton. The fresh punishment means Hughes will miss the Breeders' Cup at Churchill Downs next month when he was due to ride Strong Suit in the Breeders' Cup Mile |
