I implore the BHA to do away with this cruel and barbaric instrument that forces horses to carry their heads in an un natural way.
Human all walk differently, run differently and carry themselves differently. So why should we force a horse to hold it's head higher? This is cruel beyond belief, especially over jumps. These horses don't want to be forced to jump obstacles as they are scared and prefer to not face the looming jump. But we decide that they should be forced to face their fears and be driven in to the fences at 30mph and all this without being able to see the ground. They are being forced to run blind, half blind. How can this be fair?
The same with horses with blinkers on. How can that be humane to blind a horse to its surroundings and force it to look only forwards and not see to the sides? How would ou like it done to you???? It is barbaric and should be outlawed...
What about the tongue tie???? forcing a horse to run when it is clearly not designed to run with its tongue tied down? How can it speak to its friends??? How can it drink? How can it feel comfortable if it is forced in to an un natural position?? I know if humans play football they like to shift their tackle around a bit until it is comfortable or else they don't play well. So what about the poor horse being trussed up like a stuck pig??? This is barbaric!!!!!
What about the different types of bit that can be used, some horses are forced to run with their mouths hog tied shut.... is this humane????
What about 1 horse being FORCED to carry more weight than its rival? Is this not unfair and in humane? This is barbaric!!!!

I agree, get rid of the noseband, get rid of horse racing, bolt gun the lot of them and turn them all into glue, how's that for ya?

Your post might be sarcastic denathorn but, as punters, shouldn't we be in favour of banning non-welfare aids such as blinkers etc.? In some cases they're used as little more than aids to cheating.
