The BHA are proud to report that as a result of the stringent new whip rules a dozen jockeys have lost their livelihoods for trying too hard to win races by exceeding the whip count.
The twelve concerned failed to respond to counselling when they were encouraged to decrease their efforts to win races.
Paul S. of the BHA stated, "The public will be pleased that we are ridding the sport of these 'criminals'. Racing is all about the family coming to racecourses and spending lots of money in the bars and restaurants."
