I'm assuming you didn't actually see the horse get squeezed in a pincer movement between two other runners and practically knocked sideways just as it was getting into the race then?

I'm still waiting for the day when one of his rides in genuinely criticised on here and there's actually something in it! Confused

Any other jockey and it's not even an issue. Grin

I think you will find plenty of jockeys criticised on here on a daily basis ima !

I don't doubt that Willow1966 it's the criticise for anything regardless of what has actually happened and taking the lazy option because it's Fallon without looking into it a bit more that I was on about more really.

Well, have a look ima_mazed66 at this forum over last few days and you will find plenty of other jockeys criticised without any reason apart from the post came from someone who had lost a few quid.

Carinya, Chepstow 27/9, I await your excuse with great anticipation.

What a stupid comment. As ima states-did you watch the race? I backed his mount and it got put out the race with a hefty bump which ended any chance he had.

With only 29 posts in 4 years you'd do well to go back in your box !

I answered that one at the time saddo but happy to do so again. The horse played up and reared as the stalls opened and lost several lengths at the start which was basically his chance over from there. Had Fallon either pulled the horse up or come home in his own time then very little fuss would have been made but because he still gave the horse a ride.....I really don't know what people like are are expecting him to do really.

Here's what the Racing Post said:

Very slowly away and lost 10 lengths start, recovered and in touch after 3f, headway on inside when not clear run and hung left over 2f out, switched right to outside, 6th approaching final furlong, finished strongly, not recover, unlucky.

If I remember rightly the gambled on fav won the race in the end. The horse has now run 5 times with a different jockey each time and here are the RP's comments on its previous 2 races.

Dwelt, held up in last pair, ridden over 2f out and still there, modest late progress

Dwelt, pulled hard in rear, headway 3f out, ridden and outpaced from 2f out

So that's a problem at the start in its past 3 races but why bother doing a bit or research when you can take the lazy option and blame Fallon for it eh? In one of its other races the post race description mentions the horse hanging and it never made the racecourse as a 2YO so you have to wonder why really but I suspect that it's a bit quirky.

I remember Red Duke's Goodwood run too and he took a gamble as jockeys often do at Goodwood by racing up the inside to save ground (he was also drawn near the inside too) and then hope the gaps come late on in the race. That time they didn't and others kept him in but a few days later he won on Drunken Sailor by going up the inner when the gaps came that time.
