did nobody at the BHA realise the stupidity of changing the whip rules a few days before their biggest ever flat racing day.
do you think jockeys will be counting strokes at ascot or trying to win? |

Officials have marginally scaled down initial hopes for a 30,000 crowd at next Saturday's inaugural British Champions Day fixture, but they could get nearer to that figure if including the number of broadcasters set to be in attendance. As well as the BBC, camera crews from Dubai TV, Equidia (France) and the Sky Channel (Australia) will be broadcasting live, alongside Racing UK, At The Races, Sky Sports and the host broadcaster Ascot TV. Only two cameras will be allowed into the parade ring during racing – one from the BBC and an Ascot TV pool camera that will provide interviews to be screened on Racing UK and At The Races during the afternoon

AD the rest of the world won't care. they are more realistic with regards to horse racing.
the BBC are covering this event and don't forget it was their total ineptitude when covering the grand national that led to these ridiculous new rules. the ignorance of the BBC presenters that day when they misinterpreted aintree's efforts at horse welfare as some kind of horse armageddon and their subsequent hysterical ramblings to the watching millions, gave the idiots who hate racing all the ammunition they needed to put another nail in the coffin of british racing. if these idiots really cared about animals then they would start campaigning against mistreated animals and not start off with the best looked after animals on the planet. it was an absolute disgrace for the BHA to give in to them so easily, and to rush through this new rule right at the end of the flat season when jockeys will be riding in some of the biggest races of the season without having a chance to get used to the new rule, is simply stupidity. expect a lot more cases of whip abuse which means lots more ammo for the ignorant do gooders who know nothing about racing. |
