Don't back it because of the ground, you will only be disappointed and blame Dickie. Better to back him on Burwaaz in the Middle Park (nailed on for a place and could easily beat CN and BC)

Not worried about power at all? I'd be between the 2 myself and would prefer Moore to Hills any day of the week

burwaas is exposed and limited. ekithaam is the second coming.

not worried about power, no. been on the go all year and while he's tough, he's not exactly a teofilo
or new approach. then again he might not need to be.

I do like Ektihaam and think he will make a gd 3yo. As for 2moro it mite just be 2 much of an ask 2 soon with him, he still looked very green 2 me last time, and on the book has a gd bit 2 find with Power and Bronterre with me. He is a big scopey colt tho, with more 2 come.
Power & Bronterre 2 fight out the finish for me.
Best of luck with Ektihaam tho.

i'm sorry to say mythical prince, but that beast has absolutely no chance, way out of its depth here and it has nothing got to do  with hills when this is nearer last than first

if its short it the place, it will be a gung ho place lay

well i'll agree to disagree taipan. I think it's a monster and will be a superstar of the future. still
that's what the games all about, opinions [;)]

incidentally any winnings on ektihaam can be played up on perennial and pimpernel later Cool

Ektihaam - Despite my earlier post, for the avoidance of doubt, and to avoid being tarred with Taipan's brush, I do not agree that Ek has no chance or is way out of its depth. Just feel that this horse/action will be better on genuine ground later on.

Burwaaz - "Exposed and limited". They have struggled with distance and tactics, but this horse imo in easily capable of beating CN and BP imo. Lets see.

but what form of ektihaam suggests he can beat the proven horses

Tai - you tell us! You are the one that says "way out of its depth".

Perhaps but he didn't seem to get home in the gimcrack. I backed him last time, when he struggled to go the early pace, before staying on well, and angus gold think's he'll be better over six. anyway I wouldn't write off anything in the middle park as clearly the race is wide open.

I take your point about ektihaam but my general modus operandi is that if you find a horse you really like, then follow it blindly, because the worse thing you can do is desert it and then feel sick when it wins doing handstands.

taipan, i'm not a form man. I tend to look at a horse and assess it's potential without being totally reliable
on the form book.

I was one of the first on here to sing frankel's praises. and that was after he won a doncaster conditions race. (funnily enough the same conditions race that ektihaam won this year)

of course everyone is on the frankel bandwagon now. And before the beresford stakes that sea the stars won, I talked him up, said he was my derby horse, despite the fact he'd only won a modest maiden.

When frankel won that conditions race it was obviously the best 2yr old, miles clear on the clock in a canter shouldv'e taken any basic form reader 10 seconds.Shocked

well clearly not because I don't recall many "form experts" coming on here and pontificating
about how good he was before the royal lodge. when he won that by 10 lengths, however, the view of
frankel changed.

or perhaps people have a short memory? Confused

23.FRANKEL won 1/3 won guineastook evens. won 2/5 st james's

Although this was only a three horse race amazingly it may point to the best 2yr old this season in frankel winning by 13ls couldv'e been 20ls,the time was incredibly 6ls quicker than the previous 18 runner handicap won by irish heartbeat running off 91 the 5 pound claimed by lee topliss bringing that down to 86.This would mean that frankel has run to 106 eased down over 1/2 furlong further at the weights nothing has run to this level this season, the only other runner early in the season time wise was strong suit this performance looks even better.
Above was from last season frankel then went onto newmarket beating roderic o'connor easily by 2 1/4ls the time being franked by red jazz rated 120 earlier on the card frankel running a 1 1/2 quicker than the older horses but eased, the horse seems to go on any ground and this is why although everyone's questionong the horse he's producing times on soft and faster surfaces.Up to this point unless he's gone backwards as a 3 year old i can see him going onto win the guineas and with ease i will be checking the times over the next month but something out of the pack will have to have improved dramatically, the horse looks a little bit special as a miler. As for the derby well thats just pie in the sky you couldn't even see whether he will get 1m2fs never mind 1m4,but as a miler i think we'll see something special if he stays in training.[;)]
