The higher up the ladder horses climb - the less they usually run.
Why? - Well, if they are colts, like Strong Suit, they have future Stallion values to protect - by not being continuously beaten. Somewhat similar for some future Broodmares. In the case of Strong Suit, though, his optimum distance may well be 7 furlongs - and there are very few 7 furlong Group races - so fewer chances to race. |

Owner asked them to wait, then ground went at Newbury, then Newmarket instead of Foret....Breeders Cup number 1 target :)

I believe he was going to run in the Goodwood Celebration Mile, but was only pulled out because of the ground, so they've held him back for this race.

Pulled it out of a Goodwood race which Dubawi Gold ended up winning.(I think)
New owner wants big stud fees!!!! So Breeders is the finish for it apparently. Giving the filly a bit weight tomorrow (hard race) but other than that, should have conditions in its favour |

Missed last couple of engagements due 2 the soft ground. I would expect him 2 win 2moro. Could be heading 2 the US to take on Goldi in the BC mile, find that a tad more difficult tho.

Bookmakers seem to think they can get him beat for some reason - 6/4 looks big in a weak renewal - yes he has ridden winners but Hughes has also been on board some real shockers over the last few Saturday's - Labarinto, Cry Fury, Best Terms spring to mind - a defeat here would be just the sort of start punters don't want

Gets beat tomorrow and I will be laying.
Stable poor record with 3yo at Newmarket too |

i will be backing Gosden's horse to beat it as it has better overall form and gets a hefty weight pull from Strong Suit.
