Worthy price imo

6s is a fair price if the draw and ground are not a disadvantage, plus the horse doesn't want the ground to quick.Lots of dead wood in there, probably 4/5 that stand out.

Although I was on it last time and was very impressed with the turn of foot in the final furlong, despite appearing to be very green, I agree with the OP that today will be a more severe test with too many questions to be asked for too little value in the current price.
Moving into a handicap is a negative for me, especially if the handicapper has done his job properly. There's bound to be something else lurking in the field that has ducked under the radar. I would also question the stats insofar as how many fillies manage to double up after an inaugural success. Finally, taking a couple of lines from the lyrics:- "You had your time you had the power You've yet to have your finest hour" Somehow I just don't think today will be his finest hour. |

I agree that some of those behind at Haydock have since gone on to win, they only won stepping up one grade whereas this is a two grade hike for Gaga.
If I recall correctly, it was a lovely sunny and warmish day at Haydock. This Autumn chill in the air might make all the difference to how he feels today. He might just wish he was back in the warmth and comfort of his stables. And as for the horse....[;)] |

Having watched the race a few times I think he'll win this, Wasn't extended and did win quite easily. Must improve but there seems no reason why he won't. 14c hardly winter weather and ground now good. Interestingly although the draw doesn't seem too bias the 10 draw has a remarkably good record in this race.

Its not a horse I would want to lay, looked like it had plenty in hand, ran behind a fast pace and was going away at the end, this looks more competitive, but probably only deepsand offers any improvement

Yes, Sweety, there are some major plusses. I haven't seen a replay but I do recall that at the time I thought McMahon had a real good one on his hands but I'm not sure if the 'pocket-talk' excitement was influencing my thoughts that day.
It might be something a bit special but it worries me that he's put it in a nursery when I would have thought if it was really out of the ordinary he might have aimed a bit higher. |

some trainers like to take little stepping stones rather than giant strides , 3s could look very big after this race today thou ,gl if u guys play this jolly

Covering the final 4F at Haydock in 48 secs is strong form no matter how slow the going at York

Ignoring Lucan can sometimes be a little unwise.
