Yet another meeting abandoned after a couple of races. Customers stuffed again. It doesn't take much for courses to bow down to jocks nowadays. Was Ayr really that unsafe ?

To be honest talking off refunds for the punters, trust me on a day like today you could have a tommy gun with you and shoot no one. Only bookies/workers/owners there the refunds would be minimal. Not sticking up for Ayr but the place seems jinxed always something controversial going down!!!

Get used to it.  Over watering racecourses will inevitably turn them into death traps, necessitating decisions such as this one.

Racing today has unfortunately had to be abandoned due to the weather, anyone who bought a ticket for today can exchange that ticket for a grandstand ticket at any meeting at Ayr until the end of March 2012. Please contact us on 01292 264179 for further details. Thanks.

Fair play to Ayr. Shame Musselburgh couldn't do the same after the rip-off last month
