Was into doing patents at the time so on this day Oct 6th 2001 i picked my usual 3 to stick on.Went out on the razz to watch England v Greece in the qualifier and never put my bet on.Captain Rio 16/1 in the 2year old trophy at Redcar King Priam 20/1 in a daft little race at Southwell and I cried for you in the cambridgeshire at 25s,would of been life changing money for me at that time............................

I can give you a better story than that. its one that I would rather forget but here it is.
Placed a pound ew l63 a few years back and went out for the day. got back to find i had 5 winners with 1 to run. worked the bet out on willhill bet checker and it stood to pay about 8k if last one won. the last horse was something like 3-1 so i layed it for a grand on here to cover myself. anyway said horse won and i was looking forward to a nice 5k profit. untill I realised I had staked it to 50p. bet paid 4k and i lost 3 on here. was sick. |
