Cracking idea Tindooi - good luck. I haven't been to a racecourse since the 90's when I thought it was expensive to get into Sandown for £8 having just been to Arc day at Longchamp for £2. What a good decision hat was as look at the prices now. As for the BHA decision on the whip - what a joke - if hey want to kill the sport that's the way to go.

To compare us with racing abroad is hardly fair on the BHA....abroad they dont have bookies lining their shareholders' pockets...instead more of the money goes back into the sport....British racing hasnt got tuppence to rub together right now, so calls for sectional timing and cheaper entrance fees could hardly be less timely. And as i'm broadly in favour of the new whip rules, you'll not be surprised to hear that re. the strike I'M OUT!

duncan - racing gets nothing from entrance fees. That goes straight into the racecourses pockets. As for you views about the new whip rules - I despair.

bilbo, agreed (and thus to their stakeholders) and the fact courses are all having to meet tariffs now etc means not great time to be asking for cheaper entry imo |
