I've always had very few problems with Virgin - they can be difficult to get through to but once there they have always been helpful.

all call centres are abroad but you have the right to say i want an english person who is based in britain and yes they will transfer your call to the uk ..if we all ask for this slowly but surely all call centres will be back in the uk.
with 2.5 million un emplyed and 1 million call centre jobs in india and pakistan surely its time the government put super taxes on companies who have call centres abroad this would take over 1 million jobs from pakiland back to the uk |

pandy are you saying that once you have been put through to a call centre abroad
you can ask the person you have been put through to that you require to talk to someone based in Britain who is British? I think not. |

Whenever reporting a problem to these companies (Sky, Virgin, etc) never select the 'to report a fault / problem / complaint' option on their call distribution system. Instead, select the 'I wish to become a new Sky / Virgin / etc customer' option as this will nearly always ensure that your call is answered quickly. And when they answer and discover that you're an existing customer who wants to report a problem, they'll transfer you quickly to the right people as they don't want you clogging up their new business operators. I know that this won't resolve the problem of the right people struggling to speak English, but at least you won't have waited 20+ minutes for that pleasure! |

money tree, overall Virgin works ok it is when faults occur that nightmares commence.
|
|
By:
Gerry so you agree that overall customer services are inadequate?

Overall yes, although if you want to become a customer, then the quality of customer service is generally good. No surprises there. |
|
By:
Gerry, are there only two firms that supply pictures non terrestial in the U.K. Sky and Vigin.?
If the answer is yes perhaps that is the main reason we are treated so poorly in the complaints department. |

Hi Eck,
Sorry to read about your ongoing probs with Virgin, so frustrating trying to speak to any of these outfits, anyway apart from that hope you are well, was at Kelso on Sunday fell onto a winner Star Beat, told Aikman was'nt 100% fit jumped it (pissed it ) and put the white flag up showing a profit. As we all know its a long season ahead with many more battles to fight, take care and hope you get your problems resolved.Norrie wasnt working on Sunday |

Hi Eck again,
Meant to add that on Saturday morning got the phone call from my trainer that all owners dread,a 4yo unraced which I've had for just over a year, worked that morning, heart attack/died, 4weeks from its first race. Life can be cruel, fortunately young lad riding him suffered slight head knock, nothing serious |
