I work for joe's, we took 160 bets today but not one bet of more than a fiver in the arc, but took twenty pound on one bet on the hit six bingo, sadly a sign of the times.
I used to go to the arc twenty years ago on reg boyles trip, where did it all go wrong! |

My gaff took 1050 bets today, not a single one on the Arc winner, single or multiple, absolute skinner, the second should not be overlooked, pacemaker is always a dream place for the books.

Which would be the bigger earner? A betting shop of 25 years ago without all the multiscreens etc.,or the sophisticated shops of the present time. unbiased 25 years ago no nights no sundays no machines no lottery no virtual but more importantly NO INTERNET. 25 years ago you could make more fiddling the betting tax than you make now. in those days it was the besy business in the world. start at 10.30 finish at 4.30, it really aws a licence to print money. |
