GINGER JACK - 2.50 Redcar
Ex-Mark Johnston, and began season off 90 for new stable. Easy to forgive last 2 outings over trip too far. Back down to a Mile today, ground in his favour, and down to a mark of 80............likely the handbrake is off today.
WARLU WAY - 3.35 Newmarket
Pricewised, so not as big a price as I'd hoped for overnight, but still a lot to like about his chance. All 3 wins to date have come on quick ground, and Richard Hughes a perfect pilot for this hold up sort. 8/1 still looks fair enough to me.
PASTORAL PLAYER - 3.50 Ascot
Yet to win beyond 6f, but has shaped as though he's capable of winning at 7f on more than one occasion, and enjoys a 7lb pull with Smarty Socks on their form here early last month. Going not an issue, and likely to go close today.
SCIAMPIN (NAP) - 5.45 Redcar
Won cosily at Salisbury last time in spite of shifting markedly left when hitting the front. Up 6lb for that win, but today's opposition looks there for the taking, and although odds of 11/4 don't scream " LUMP ON ", he rates the day's best bet for me.
