Jamie Steir on whip rules. I predict his next vocation will be Politics. Brilliant at not answering questions.

You missed nothing of interest i can assure you.

thanks, i won't bother c4+1 then!
Maybe just 1 of us should watch it (whilst the rest of us study ) then pool our knowledge afterwards? |
|
By:
Taped it . Got to 30 minutes before they previewed a race which was the Arc. Had a couple of tools trying to justify the new whip rules and a young toff wanting every student in the Uk to go racing. Programme needs something new like a section where the guests play Twister. Catt and Emms could demonstrate how to play it
![]() |
|
By:
If they are going to play TWISTER ...
Then surely they would get Bald Fred and another guest bookmaker - each week. They could then have an 'It's a Knockout' contest, too. 'Knockout' quip for our older readers. |

If anyone is interested I have the codes/link for you to watch tv on your pc/phone... I watch the first 2o mins live on my phone and if, as today, it proves to have too many plonkers on there I just go out and walk the dogs

Thank you for that good snippet of information, watchit.
Duly filed. |

Very poor - and this is the new. re-vamped ML don't forget. Who wants to listen to a bunch of sober-looking, grey suits discuss the new whip rules first thing on a Saturday morning? And the posh lad who thinks he's talking on behalf of students - ffs, students rack up massive loans, so how can the racecourse be the right playing ground for them?
|
|
By:
The ML is getting worse if that was possible, the only guest is a youngster trying to get students into racing,i have no problem with anyone getting into racing but cant see its very clever of the morning line to encourage students to gamble.
|
|
By:
dod, good training for those that will go and work in a bank?
|
|
By:
Yes but bankers gamble with our money so they dont care if the lose.

Emma did state that Workforce is not in the same form coming into this year's Arc as he was going into last year's, the suggestion being that he was in better form last year.
The facts are that Workforce went into last years Arc having finished 5th, beaten upwards of 16 lengths in the King George, whereas this year, he's coming into the race having finished 2nd (beaten less than 3 lengths) in the same race! I guess this 'insight' from Spencer must count as "worthwhile" as it's helping to keep her in gainful employment. |
|
By:
Lord Snooty asked Emma if we could tell anything from Workforces workout with a couple of stable mates she said no because its different, well done Emma a shrewd bit of observation.
|
|
By:
Didn't need to know the lad's pedigree to spot he was an obnoxious tw@t - inane grin... :O)PP
|
|
By:
Would fit in well on the morning line then

I don't usually complain about it but how on earth do they think that it will be of interest to the masses?
This morning was very poor. |
|
By:
UNFORTUNATELY the politics of envry and RED tinted specs cloud some people's judgement... I cannot say I'd want to spend a lot of time in the lad's company, but he is young, may well be nervous, has big boots to fill, since daddy has been very successful... and if a few more folk were as entrepreneurial as those two the British Economy wand the UK in general would not be so fxxked as it is... At least they have a go...

Just the usual this morning;
Has Tanya ever completed an entire sentence without mumbling and jumbling up her words? I like her enthusiasm for the game, but she's been on the screen long enough to be able to speak properly. As stated above Emma's comments re Workforce's recent form and the racecourse gallop only highlight her complete lack of anything resembling racing knowledge. |
|
By:
I'm inclined to give Emma and Tanya the benefit of the doubt... ANYONE rather than that lump of lard, Alistair Down and sneering Jimbo or that grade A boiler Leslie
What IS a regret is the fact the BBC has the rights to the Arc and so we get limited sh1te coverage on terrestial tomorrow ![]() |

ML was - as usual - dire.£100k Class 2 Heritage H'cap at Ascot today, received 4 mins of attention,viz:-a couple of clips of 2 or 3 'fancies' and then a request from the ML team on what they liked.
Risible. |

'free admission to racecourses for students'
don't think this is a good idea for a few reasons, especially the debts many students are likely to have, and dangers of addiction to gambling, or maybe a few one-off days for students as a social event...... ...then again this is how Patrick Veitch started, his college room at Trinity was like a racing office with student girls giving out his selections on the phone for his tipping line.....don't think we should encourage this sort of thing. ![]() ![]() |

What ever about the show you can't knock the guest (forget his name). He's promoting racing to the student population at a time when the sport needs it more than ever.
It's a bloody good looking magazine too. Interviews with Sir Alex Ferguson, Frankie, AP, Michael Owen and more. |

He is no Tooff - no aristocrat, no Landed Gentry...is a self made man
The product of hard work and entrpreneurialism... HOW he spends his money - be it on cocainem skiing, horses, barbados, ****s whatever is his business... If you're jealous of the man's money and/or success then that is your personal right... BUT DO GET YOUR FACTS RIGHT I shall not add another word on the matter - this is about the fifth time a thread has descended into political ranting and it is very tiresome |

Get your facts right. I think you'll find I was talking about his son PJay Do you really think that students are the correct body to be promoting racing to ? |
