i placed the following bet in bet fred on friday ,20 win on dimension and asked for price ,she checked amd wrote 4/1 wrote on slip......i saw the 4/1 on the screen myself,when i collected i was given £90 instead of £100.....i asked if there was a rule 4 ,no was the reply........when i placed the bet the screen showed 4/1 but due to a delay in data updating the system the price is not guaranteed !! the price had changed 1min and 4 seconds before i asked for the price !!even though 4/1 was on the screen......is this not fraud ? after speaking to customer services and area manager i was told to be sure your price is ok ,before the start of a race you should present your slip again to have it confirmed !........its not a busy shop and im not surprised ......another customer lost

Had a similar experience about 4years ago, a manager was training i had to place my bet with the trainee i asked for the price 5/1 at that moment the trainee checked the screen asked the manager for conformation and manager nodded,the trainee then made a mistake asked for help and then entered my slip,i watched the race it won,i went to collect to be told that that 7/2 was the price at time of asking????? i pointed out price on slip and that they had been slow putting betting slip in machine? No he is learning there is nothing we can do came the reply. I left the shop in disbelief.

-------------------------------------------------------------- Absolutely ASTOUNDING. What next? - EVERYBODY have to "present" EVERY "slip AGAIN to have it confirmed" that their bet was put throug - irrespective of taking a price, or not. Imagine GRAND NATIONAL day.  What an absurd 'cop out'.  |

the area manager called me explain what happened today .....but wont fork out the difference ,i still think its fraud ,the 4/1 was on the screen ,the excuse that it takes time to come down from the satellite is a joke .....the system they use is pathetic...end off .wont be back

placed a bet in a bet fraud office a while back.when i went to collect they told me it was void as it had been placed 'after the off'.the bet was taken and my slip handed back to me so I naturally assumed the bet was on.
had it lost I would have walked out and been none the wiser not been in one since.theyre a joke outfit |

Get everyone that you know to write to their MP demanding that any sleepers (unclaimed winning or void bets) should be given to charity.That should put a hole in their profits.
